When Merton selects and purchases a qualified property, you get paid commission, just as you would in any traditional real estate transaction.
If selected, the home will be featured on an episode showcasing you as the Home Selling Heroes agent.
Agents featured on Home Selling Heroes gain their commission when the revitalized home sells, and a level of visibility that traditional marketing simply cannot match. When a home you submit becomes a featured property, you can appear on-screen as part of the episode narrative, showcasing your expertise and ultimately awarding the donation to the charity!

Here's What to Do Next:
1. Schedule a Call with Merton Park
Begin by scheduling a quick call with a Merton Park representative to discuss representing us as a buyer’s agent in your market area:

2. Enter into a Buyer Representation Agreement (BRA) with Merton Park Film Studios Ltd.
This establishes you as our exclusive buyer representative within your market area.
3. Merton Makes a Full-Price Offer
Contact select homeowners and ask if they’d be open to receiving a full asking-price offer from Merton Park, subject to a 10-day evaluation period.
4. We Waive the Condition
If the property is approved during our evaluation, we waive the condition and proceed to close within 60 days.
5. We Improve and Re-List
After closing, our team completes strategic enhancements or repairs to boost market appeal, then re-lists the home for resale.

Why would Merton pay full asking price when my negotiating skills could help secure a lower purchase price?
This comes up often, especially from skilled buyer’s agents who pride themselves on negotiating strong deals. In a traditional transaction, negotiating down the price is absolutely the goal. But Home Selling Heroes is not a traditional transaction.
The show is built around a rescue scenario, which is a home that couldn’t sell, a seller who’s stuck, and an agent who’s doing everything possible to help. For the story to resonate, the audience must clearly see the contrast between a home that struggled on the market and a hero team stepping in with a full-asking-price offer to give the homeowner a lifeline.
If we negotiated the price down, the “rescue” dissolves on screen. The emotional and narrative impact disappears, and the show loses the core element that makes it unique.
How Can I Get Involved?
We are currently looking for experienced real estate agents to help us identify properties that meet our criteria for the show. If you are interested in collaborating, we will share our acquisition parameters and work with you to evaluate potential homes.
Do I need to share my commission or pay any money to participate?
There is no commission sharing and no upfront cost to participate as a buyer’s agent. Agents participate under a sponsorship model where fees are only payable when the agent earns a commission through a purchase or sale completed via the program. If no commission is earned, no payment is required. We are simply looking for experienced agents to help identify suitable properties and represent Merton Park as the buyer.
How many homes will Merton actually buy?
Merton will ultimately purchase 10 to 12 homes to round out our full-season episodic library. It’s helpful to think of the process like an audition: many homes are submitted for consideration, a small number are shortlisted, and ultimately just 10 to 12 are selected. Being considered doesn’t guarantee selection, but it does give every homeowner a fair, risk-free opportunity.
